Molly Dimeo

From a family of creatives, Dimeo was raised to see art and design in everything around her—she is a third-generation graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Deeply influenced by her experiences in nature and the dynamic patterns of the environment, she translates these impressions into paintings that balance observation and abstraction.

In her landscape paintings, the fluidity of watercolor builds translucent layers that mirror the accumulation of time and memory within the landscape. Dimeo seeks to convey the shifting relationship between external environment and internal experience—the way moments in nature linger, reshape, and resurface through the creative process.

Dimeo’s Floral collection focuses on capturing the experience of florals rather than transcribing a specific flower. These playful, joyous interpretations are created on hand-deckled cold-press paper using sumi and acrylic inks.

Molly’s artwork has been available at Mary Mahoney’s store in Palm Beach since 2010. Her Floral Paintings: 365 Flora series takes inspiration from the store’s collection of vases and crystal.
